Our team has owned boats for more than 30 years in total, including wake boats, kayaks, sport fishers, bowriders, canoes, center consoles, and live-aboard sailboats and cruisers.

James Frami, Founder & Writer
Boat Pursuits’ creator and leading voice is James Frami.
At the age of 15, he and four other friends from his neighborhood constructed their first boat.
It wasn’t particularly attractive, but the fact that it floated led to a lifelong love of boats and being near the sea.
Since then, he has operated center consoles, sport fishers, Jon boats, and ski boats.
He has been sailing for almost 30 years and has a wealth of knowledge that he wants to share with others.

Since he was in his early teens, Victor Effertz has been an avid boater.
He writes for the several outdoor blogs he started and also enjoys skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and boating when not doing those things.
